Ralph Burns has recently introduced the first in a series of limited edition box sets of his photographs. Each box set will have an edition of 5, and each new box set iteration will contain a different set of 3 images, each curated from Burns’ ongoing 50+ years career as a photographer.

The selected images, all silver gelatin fiber based prints, printed and archivally processed by Ralph Burns in his darkroom, are unique in size and edition to these box sets. Each image is printed 7” x 10.5” (+/-) on 9” x 12” Ilford Warm Tone Fiber-Based paper, toned in selenium for permanence, and titled, signed, and editioned, en verso.

Each box set includes 3 images, a letter of provenance for each image, a signed copy of the sixty-two page catalogue from Ralph Burns’ 2014 Asheville Art Museum retrospective, A Persistence of Vision, and is presented in an acid-free archival storage box.

Edition numbers 2 to 5 of the first box set are currently available, and contain the three images above. Edition # 2 of this first box set is $1500.

And, as always, most all of Burns’ photographs are available as archival silver gelatin darkroom prints in 11” x 14” and 16” x 20” sizes.
